About Our Club
Cambria California offers the best combination of a seaside community nestled within a Monterey pine forest. Located half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles, its well known neighbor is Hearst Castle. Along its scenic Moonstone Beach Drive,visitors find a wide variety of accomodations including extensive campgrounds at Hearst San Simeon State Park. More than moonstones await those who explore Leffingwell Landing (background picture), gateway to the Cambria State Marine Park. Complete picnic facilities, free parking, boat launching and miles of coastal bluff trails offer visitors and locals a natural playground for all ages. The Cambria Fishing Club has for over 36 years provided anglers with recreation and camraderie, while contributing to the local community. Joslyn Recreation Center
Membership to the Joslyn Recreation Center in downtown Cambria brings with it many benefits that include the Cambria Fishing Club, access to dozens of other clubs, special events, and top notch facilities for meetings or dining. Whether you choose lawn bowling, yoga, dancing, computer classes, investment, excercise or singing, the center houses them all under one roof. The annual membership fee opens the door to a wide selection of community based activities, newsletter and membership roster
The Center is located at 950 Main St. in what is called the "West End" of town. Administrative offices are open on week days, from 10am-2pm. You can also leave a message anytime at 805-927-3364. The facility is available for rent by members or third parties, for dinners, weddings and fund raising activities. You can contact the Center by email at firstname.lastname@example.org . The Center derives its income principally from membership dues, fund raising events and rental fees.
Membership in the Center is open to all adults over 18 years of age in Cambria and adjoining comunities. If we don't have a club you want to join, please help us start a new one in whatever activity may interest you.
